Self of Therapist Masterclass:
Intergenerational relational patterns as they affect therapy

In this Masterclass, participants will acquire scientific and theoretical knowledge about the impact of the self of the therapist on the therapeutic process and will also embark on a journey to access awareness of their intergenerationally transmitted relational patterns and explore how these patterns influence their therapeutic work, especially when accessing deep emotions in EFT.

About this workshop

Through this journey the trainers will take on the role of "travel guides", who will escort participants through their own personal process by using experiential exercises in dyads and small groups. Together participants will explore and share common experiences of our stuck places, our blocks and our action tendencies as therapists with the aim of understanding  and using our personal sensitivities as resources and strengths to move through emotional blocks that influence our sessions.

Note: due to the experiential nature of the workshop, the group will be a maximum of 32 participants.

Our bilingual format allows participants to attend in the original language of the trainer (English) or to attend to an optional simultaneous French translation channel!

* This training is recognized for Continuing Education by l'Ordre des Psychologues du Québec (OPQ). A certificate of participation including the OPQ recognition number will be given to participants.

* Continuing education credits will be offered by Alliant International University to therapists based in the United States. Final details on cost and number of credits will be available shortly.

Inclusion and accessibility are at the heart of our values. We strive to increase inclusion and accessibility both linguistically, by creating varied learning opportunities for French-speaking communities, and financially. Among our initiatives, we offer an equity rate to 10% of registrations for each training workshop to encourage the participation of therapists from marginalized communities.
